Agálašvuođajurdda
- The Idea of eternity is a
growing sculpture, 16 meter long, made at ART Ii Biennale of Northern
Environmental and Sculpture Art 2014
In collaboration with
locals we planted the letters with edible plants from the area.
I wanted to use a Sami
word because of the history of Li and the Sami people have a more holistic
approach to the environment surrounding us.
The meaning of the word Agálašvuođajurdda
can lead to a more philosophical way of thinking about nature. As time
passes, nature will take over and the sculpture will maybe transform into
something wild again?
